Trump Misspells Jon Voight's Name After Endorsement
Did GOP frontrunner get support from the Oscar-winning actor or the fictional dentist from an episode of "Seinfeld"?

Two days before his appearance in Chicago, Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump received a high-profile endorsement from Hollywood.
It’s from Jon Voight, the Academy-Award winning actor who has starred in several films such as “Ali,” “Runaway Train,” “Coming Home” and “Midnight Cowboy.”
That’s Jon Voight, right? Or is it John?
Trump was grateful for the plug on his Facebook page Wednesday afternoon, calling the endorsement “a great honor from - from a Hollywood legend.”
Only one problem. In thanking the actor, Trump added a letter to his first name.
“Thank you, John!,” Trump wrote.
Oops. Jon Voight, the actor, is spelled J-O-N. Not the more common J-O-H-N.
Some have joked that Trump’s endorsement came from the fictional periodontist who was the previous owner of George Costanza’s 1989 Volvo on an episode of “Seinfeld.”
Some “Seinfeld” enthusiasts may remember the 1994 episode in which George forgoes buying a car he likes in favor of one that was supposedly owned by Jon Voight. But during a scene where he is driving with Jerry Seinfeld, Seinfeld finds a letter in the glove compartment of the car with the name “John Voight,” with the “h.”
Worried, George tries to get reassurance from his friend that this car was still owned by Voight the actor.
“I’m sure Jon just misspelled his own name,” Jerry tells George. “I know I sometimes misspell Jerry with a ‘G’ and an ‘I’! Hahahahaha.”
Later, George finds out for sure the car was not owned by Jon Voight the actor, but rather John Voight the periodontist.
But all “Seinfeld” references aside, it does appear Voight (the actor) has endorsed Trump.
“He’s an answer to our problems,” Voight said, according to Breitbart and other reports. “We need to get behind him. The Republicans need to unite behind this man. We need somebody to go in and reconstruct us in a sort of way, get us back to where we were, who we need to be.”
