There’s a new secret speakeasy in town! It’s called “Meet & Whiskey” which is located below Porkchop Restaurant at 941 W. Randolph in Chicago’s West Loop.

Meet & Whiskey is just that, a late night underground whiskey drinking and dining spot. It is designed especially for those who find themselves craving something a bit more discreet.

Inspired by the 1920s Prohibition Era, Meet & Whiskey is a contemporary speakeasy, offering exquisitely crafted cocktails, an extensive selection of fine wines, whiskey and of course, local beers. The Prohibition theme is used to help remind customers the importance of a good cocktail in a private atmosphere.

Enter Meet & Whiskey through an unassuming door in the back alley into an amber lit room handsomely appointed with dark wood and plush furnishings. Styled with antique lounge furniture, old-fashioned lamp posts and wall coverings with images of photos from the Prohibition Era, Meet & Whiskey will definitely make one feel like they’ve stepped back into the early 1900s.

With its rustic ambiance, dim lighting, cozy seating, and prohibition-era cocktails served in mason jars, tin cups and moonshine jugs, Meet & Whiskey is an intimate private dining and drinking experience! The speakeasy features an integrative bar program offering over 100 of the world’s top whiskeys.

Meet & Whiskey is the vision of restaurateur, French-born Jovanis Bouargoub, 38, who owns six Porkchop restaurants with three more to open in the Chicagoland area.

Bouargoub’s concept is a rotating secret menu that makes each dining and drinking experience unique in itself! The rotating menu offers small and heavy bites such as; Truffle Fries, Oysters and Steak Sliders.

And, you’ll need a secret password to enter the place! The back alleyway entrance with an unmarked door will have a red light indicating it’s open and can only be entered by those with the password, which can be found by visiting their Facebook, Instagram and other social media or as an invited guest for private events.

Jovanis Bouargoub knows what it takes to make a dining experience a truly memorable event. Meet & Whiskey holds every type of private gathering for 20 to 40 people. Meet & Whiskey is perfect for an intimate rendezvous or a relaxed, civilized evening with friends.
