Bloom Alums In Harvey Flooding
Message from Down Under; Supporting and caring for Houston flood victims
The Bloom Alumni Association has kept n touch with its alums thru the internet.
Historic flooding continues to worsen in Houston as the remnants of Hurricane Harvey douse southeastern Texas with rain. Emergency personnel used motorboats, airboats and other vehicles to rescue more than 2,000 people in the greater Houston area on Sunday.
Harvey washed over major highways, including Interstate 45 seen above, as flooding spreads. Houston has a population of more than 2.3 million.
As Harvey lingers around Texas' Gulf Coast, where it is forecast to remain for several more days, it is drenching parts of the region with a year's worth of rain in the span of a week. (https://www.cnbc.com/2017/08/2...)

...."Yes, We're safe but no parts of me trust this system we live in, they never tell you everything and history repeats itself. We should've left... I don't like anxiety and right now I have It! However, We're here for a reason...we gone stay safe, prayerful and appreciative..." Ryan W. Holmes Sr.
..."Living on the Gulf Coast since 1973 I've seen my fair share of hurricanes and flooding. However this is the worst I've seen since I've lived down here. As with any national disaster please set political differences aside and become as one nation. People down there are suffering. Homes are lost, lives are lost and dreams are shattered. I am in constant prayer for my city, my state and my nation. One nation under God..." #prayforHouston
Two years ago My wife and I visited my brother (David and wife Rose) in Galveston and the Southeastern Texas area. This place where this picture was taken, is now underwater. (Galveston post card)
