Commit to You! You're Worth it!
Take charge of your life by making decisions that are good for you and letting go of the past. Little tips and tricks to reach your goal, and a whole-person approach to wellness and success.
"Nothing we do can change the past, but everything we do changes the future." -Yogi Berra
Why am I bringing that up in a blog about wellness? We've all done it, right? Beat ourselves up because we slip a bit on a goal? Being focused on now and the future gives us permission to move on, move forward, become better.
That's why I love a "whole person" approach to being well. Fitness and exercise are about more than the number on the scale- about more than the size on your jeans (although fitting into those skinny jeans will be a great side effect). Fitness is about taking control of you your life now, about making those decisions that are good for you right now.
Picture yourself fit, or successful, or healthy, whatever your goal is. What do you look like? What are you wearing? What are you eating? When you start making decisions like this- joining a boot camp, committing to a structured fitness program, being more disciplined about what you eat, your work, etc. - you're becoming that person.
That baggage you had before, that manifests itself as that extra weight, procrostinating with important work, whatever your obstacle is- it becomes easy to shed. Your decisions about food aren't about your emotions- they're about what's good for your body, because you have made the decision to DO YOU.
Another trick is to do it in a group. Have an accountability partner. If you're looking for one, have I got the group for you! We have a 5 a.m. bootcamp at Mann Park every day. This is the group that is going to be supportive, cheer you on, and make you wanna get out of bed every morning at 5.

If that's not for you, find an online community, a family member, a group at your church, someone who won't let you be less than your best!
