Forgive Quickly

Some of us would see our lives go to another level if we would start practicing this simple principle rule.

As I was looking at a bottle of stain remover, the directions said, "for best results, get to the spot as quickly as possible, hopefully while it's still wet."

Why? Because the longer it stays there, the more difficult it is to remove. It's the same way with us when someone does us wrong; when someone doesn't fulfill their promise; when someone is rude to us; when someone cuts us off in traffic; when our co-worker talks behind our back; when someone we are in close relationship with hurts us . . . and the list goes on and on.

If you allow that stain to stay in your mind, hour after hour, day after day, i'ts getting harder and harder to get rid of.

One of the best things we can learn to do is forgive quickly. Don't play that offense over and over in your mind. Don't try to dissect and figure out what they really meant. Some of us would see our lives go to another level if we would start practicing this simple principle "forgive quickly." Don't allow the offense to take root.

We can't stop the offenses from coming, but we can stop them from dragging us down.

But on the flip side . . . If you said you would do something for someone and didn't, go back and DO IT. If you are rude to someone, APOLOGIZE. If you hurt someone, GO AND FIX IT.

Your words and actions touch the lives of others. We must use this power (words and actions) to bring peace and not offense
