Marian soccer prevails over Homewood-Flossmoor

   Alec Guarino and Aleksa Lucic scored goals on Monday to lead host Marian Catholic to a 2-0 Men's Soccer victory over Homewood-Flossmoor. The strong defensive effort for Marian (4-7-2) was led by goalie Chris Taborn with four saves.

   Amber Clay powered home seven kills with six blocks and Colleen Rynne dished out 15 assists on 36-for-37 setting to pace visiting Marian Catholic to a 25-17, 25-17 Women's Volleyball nonconference victory at Andrew on Monday. Kendyl Todd added three kills and NIkki Manno was 5-for-5 passing and notched 10 digs for the Spartans (8-1).

   Marian Women's Tennis dropped a narrow 4-3 nonconference decision at Lincoln-Way Central on Monday, although Gaby Rosales captured her first singles match over Ashley Hacker, 6-0, 6-1. The Spartans (4-4) also got doubles victories from Megan Melby-Giselle Beebe at #1 and Laurie Gregory-Christina de Bustros at #2.
