Perspective: A New Blog from a Motivated, Loving Wife

After my husband was diagnosed with cancer, being healthy wasn't a choice anymore.

There are so many days I remember DREADING lacing up my sneakers to get my workout in- days I remember making excuses the whole morning to talk myself out of it.  Most of the time I was disciplined enough to stick to it, and usually after the first five minutes, I was happy I had.  I didn't realize then what a spoiled brat I was being.

We take our health for granted.  I didn't realize how lucky I was to be able to choose to exercise or not.  It really is a luxury to be able to work out that hard, to push your body and mind further than you'd thought you could go.

Now, as I'm pounding through TurboFire or INSANITY (my new faves), I think of my husband, who's just been diagnosed with cancer and has had three surgeries in the past month. How dare I think to complain about keeping myself healthy?  Health is a gift... to be treasured.
