Calvary To Re-Open Closed Chicago Heights Church
Calvary Assembly of God will open a second campus at the former Restoration Church on 201st Street in Chicago Heights.
CHICAGO HEIGHTS, IL - Calvary Assembly of God will open a second campus in Chicago Heights. The church that's been in Flossmoor since 1974 will begin operating at the recently closed Restoration Church at 274 W. 201st St., according to a report from the Daily Southtown.
Calvary members are planning a "Love Giveaway" of clothes and other items and have been contacting former Restoration attendees about their plans to reopen, John Husbands, lead pastor of Calvary Assembly of God, told the Southtown. While the Calvary Assembly of God in Flossmoor will be the "parent" church of the new one in Chicago Heights, the new church is expected to operate autonomously.
