Elderly Woman Sexually Assaulted In Her Garage Sunday Morning
Two elderly residents of Lansing reported being robbed in their homes within days of each other.

LANSING, IL — An elderly woman who arrived at her own home Sunday morning in Lansing was greeted by a man who robbed her and sexually assaulted her, the Chicago Tribune reports. The reported incident took place just three days after an elderly man reported having been robbed just a block away. Both incidents were reported as occurring within a mile of the Lansing Police Department.
Police said the woman pulled her car into her garage in the 17100 block of Greenbay Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, when she was taken into her home by a man who robbed and sexually assaulted her. The assailant stole some jewelry and ran away.
A similar incident was reported around 10 a.m. Thursday in the 17100 block of Lorenz Avenue, where a man who pulled into his garage was approached and demanded money and a cell phone before being taken inside for more money.

Police described both victims as "elderly," according to the Tribune. The suspect, in both cases, has been described as a black man, about 30 years old and having a medium build.
