Woman Killed In Hit-and-Run On I-394: State Police

LYNWOOD, IL — Illinois State Police are investigating after a woman was killed in a hit-and-run overnight in Lynwood.

State police said they were called to I-394 southbound at Joe Orr Road at 12:01 a.m., for a report of a hit-and-run involving a female pedestrian. The vehicle fled the scene.

The woman was transported to an area hospital, where she was dead. She has not yet been publicly identified.

The roadway was shut down and reopened at approximately 3:55 a.m.

An investigation is ongoing, state police said.
