Grand Opening of Truck Driver Training Facility at Prairie State College July 22

Prairie State College is celebrating the grand opening of the College Truck Driving/Transportation, Global Distribution, Warehouse and Logistics Facility at 11 a.m., Friday, July 22, at its Chicago Heights campus location, 191 S. Halsted St.

Attendees will tour the facility, meet the staff and instructors, and enjoy refreshments.

The Truck Driver Training Program teaches students the skills to become safe, professional truck drivers, enabling them to secure immediate employment in an entry-level position in the trucking industry.  The 160-hour training program combines classroom presentation and hands-on learning that leads to a Class A commercial driver's license  with the endorsements necessary for placement. Classes are offered year round on a 4-week full-day class schedule or an 8-week evening schedule.
