The Union League of Chicago is the place to be on June 9, where the Marian Catholic Alumni Association will host its fifth annual MCHS Chicago Alumni & Friends Gathering.
Historically, one of the most successful networking events among Marian Alumni, guests have the opportunity to meet with old friends and make new contacts while enjoying an evening of “Spartan Spirit.”
Attendees will be briefed on current events at the Chicago Heights campus, and anticipated plans for Marian’s future, along with a presentation by guest speaker Christopher Ormsby ’93, who is vice president, Global Learning Organization – Bank of America.
Ormsby is an Executive Coach and Learning Consultant who has worked with senior executives from around the world, primarily to help identify and assess development opportunities for both individuals and organizations. His broad area of expertise includes performance management, succession planning, training, organizational development, and talent management.
With more than 15 years of experience supporting the organizational development of a variety of companies, Ormsby serves as Vice President in the Global Learning Organization at Bank of America where he supports the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Bank of America he was the North America Head of Human Resources for a French consulting company. Ormsby lives in the South Suburbs with his wife and three children.
MCHS Alumni Director Carol Burke Swanson ’81 is excited about the fifth annual Metro gathering.
“This program and event are so beneficial to our alums who live or work in the city,” she explained. “They have the opportunity to get together, hear what’s new at Marian, and make valuable contacts in a casual setting.”
All Marian Catholic Alumni are invited to the gathering at the Union League Club of Chicago on Thursday, June 9, beginning at 5 p.m.
