“Rules of Engagement” will be presented by Iris Gordon on Friday, Oct. 7, at 8 a.m. at the Matteson Area Center.
This program, hosted by the Professional Women’s Network, will explain the benefits and profits in either getting your employees engaged or becoming a more engaged employee. Participants will benefit by understanding how buying in to the day-to-day operations of the business will improve loyalty, profitability, rewards and acknowledgement.
Gordon holds a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Masters in Communication. She has a background in Executive Leadership, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Strategic Planning, Consulting and Training. Gordon has worked in various industries including healthcare, staffing, media communications and the nonprofit arena. She has more than 18 years of experience in business consulting, workshop presentations and human capital management and development.
“Women who attend this program find they leave with a better understanding of how to develop an environment where employees feel emotionally bound to the organization and proud to be a part of the organization. Tools will be provided to demonstrate loyalty and commitment to the participants’ place of employment. Managers will be given suggestions on rewarding employee behavior and eliminating negative behaviors in the workplace and in other social settings. Participants will take away strategies to support and engage in the behaviors that enhance the communication, ethics, values and mission of their current or future organizations.”
Participants should check in at 8 a.m. at Prairie State College, Matteson Area Center, 4821 Southwick Drive in Matteson. PWN members are free and non-members are $5.
