MONEE, IL - A family in far south suburban Monee was held at gunpoint by three offenders early Monday morning during a home invasion near Sunrise and Court streets. Police say the offenders entered through an open garage area and removed several items from the home before fleeing. A social media bulletin from the Monee Police Department indicates the three offenders made entry into the garage area at 1 a.m. Monee police and officers from the Will County Sheriff's Office responded and did a thorough search of the area, but no suspects were found. Monee police believe this to be an isolated incident, but will increase their presence in the area "until these offenders are located."
