Fire in Park Forest Shuts Down Streets

PARK FOREST, IL -- Motorists are advised to avoid an area in Park Forest due to a large fire first reported just after noon on Tuesday. Large black smoke was seen drifting from the area.

The fire erupted on South Street, according to a tweet from the Park Forest Police Department. As a result, North Street between Western Avenue and Orchard Boulevard is closed. Western in open, but motorists are advised to avoid the area.
