Man, 23, ID'd As Driver Hit, Killed Changing Tire On I-80: Medical Examiner

The incident happened Wednesday morning alongside I-80 west near Torrence in Lansing, state police said.

LANSING, IL — A driver killed while changing a tire alongside I-80 Wednesday morning has been identified as a 23-year-old man, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Sebastian Stone, 23, of Carpentersville, was struck just before 5:30 a.m. on I-80 westbound near Torrence Avenue, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said Wednesday evening.

Stone was pronounced dead at 5:48 a.m., according to records.
