Heroin, Crack Found During Search Of Sauk Village Home
More than 500 grams of heroin and 300 grams of crack cocaine were found when police executed a search warrant in Sauk Village.

SAUK VILLAGE, IL - Several hundred grams of illegal drugs were found when police executed a search warrant in Sauk Village last week. In an investigation headed by the Park Forest Police Department, detectives say they found more than 500 grams of heroin, more than 300 grams of cocaine and more than 100 grams of cannabis.
Two illegal guns and about $1,200 in cash were also found on Oct. 23, Park Forest police said on social media.
In connection with the find in Sauk Village and a separate Park Forest case, police charged 39-year-old Detonya Garrett with manufacture/delivery and possession of more than 400 grams of heroin, possession of heroin, manufacture/delivery and possession of cocaine, manufacture/delivery and possession of cannabis and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Detectives estimate the value of the recovered heroin to be between $90,000 and $120,000.
