UNIVERSITY PARK, IL - A man who involved in an online transaction was <a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-police-kankakee-man-killed-in-university-park-robbery-20170630-story.html%20" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">shot and killed in University Park late Thursday night </a>when the meeting turned into a robbery, according to a Chicago Tribune report. Kevin C. Jarrett, 31, of Kankakee died from injuries sustained in the shooting, police told the Tribune. Jarrett and another person traveled to the 800 block of White Oak Lane in University Park around 10:50 p.m. to conduct the sale of an item on the mobile app Letgo.com. At some point the sale turned into a robbery and Jarrett was shot.
