Photo Gallery: Marian Catholic High School Wrestling Event a Hit

Fans packed the gym at Marian Catholic to watch pro-wrestlers

Marian Catholic High School in Chicago Heights, Illinois, hosted its inaugural Warrior Wrestling evet on Friday, May 11th.

The main event of the evening featured former WWE World Champion Alberto El Patron (Del Rio) defeating Jack Swagger in a rematch from WrestleMania 29. Also in action were high-flying luchadors and colorful characters of all kinds who performed in this entertaining and unique spectacle.

Tessa Blanchard retained the Zelo Pro Women's Championship over Santana Garrett

Alberto Del Rio (w/ Ricardo Rodriguez) defeated Jack Swagger (w/ Sam Adonis) in a No Disqualification Match

Over 800 fans packed Marian Catholic’s West Gym for an incredible display of athleticism and pageantry. The action in the ring was matched by state-of-the-art lighting and staging provided by Marian alumni.

The event raised money for scholarships for students at the school. Ticket sales, concessions, and a split the pot raffle all contributed to the success of the night. Warrior Wrestling was the brain child of Marian Catholic Principal Mr. Steve Tortorello and was brought to life with the hard work of many Marian staff members.
