PSC Christopher Art Gallery Presenting ‘Graduate Exhibition +2’

Works of art from eight graduating Prairie State College (PSC) students is on display through Wednesday, May 21, in the Christopher Art Gallery, located on the PSC main campus at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.

“Graduate Exhibition +2”  features works that include drawings, paintings, photography, and mixed-media pieces by the students, who are completing degrees in fine arts, graphic communications, and photography. Works by two additional artists, Irene Ganas and Annabelle Mullennix, also is featured.

PSC student artists whose work will be featured in the exhibit are Joshua Joyce of Richton Park, Karalyne Murray of Beecher, Devyn Foster of Olympia Fields, Charles Beard of Chicago Heights, Annabelle Mullennix of Matteson, Irene Ganas of Crete, Brittany Ivy of Homewood, Keli Panega of Steger, Ashieka Daniels of Flossmoor, and Beatriz Romero of Sauk Village.

A reception in honor of the artists will be held from noon to 2 p.m., Thursday, May 1 in the gallery.

Professor Paul Rinaldi, coordinator of PSC’s fine arts program, is the curator of the exhibition.

The Christopher Art Gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday. Visits also can be made by appointment. For more information about the exhibit or to make an appointment for a visit, call (708) 709-3636.
