Reward Upped For Man Accused Of Killing Namesake
The FBI has increased the reward for the capture of Tyrone Smith, whose accused in the Dolton murder of another man named Tyrone Smith.

DOLTON, IL — A Chicago man whose been charged with first degree murder in the 2015 death of a man with the same name is on the run, and the FBI has increased the reward for information leading to his capture from $1,000 to $10,000. FBI Chicago Media Coordinator Garrett Croon made public the reward increase for Tyrone Smith in a news release on Friday.
Tyrone Smith, now 25, who had a last known address in Chicago, has been accused in the shooting death of Tyrone D. Smith which occurred on Oct. 25, 2015 in the 14100 block of South Chicago Road in Dolton, according to an earlier report from the Sun-Times. Tyrone Smith the victim was pronounced dead a short time after the alleged shooting at a hospital in Hammond, Indiana and an arrest warrant was issued for the wanted Tyrone Smith on Oct. 30, 2015.
The two Tyrone Smiths are not related, previous reports indicate.

In 2016, the FBI began helping Dolton police with locating Smith and issued a $1,000 reward. The reward is now at $10,000, Croon said.
The Sun-Times report indicates the fugitive Smith goes by several aliases, including “King Bo,” Tyrone J. Smith Jr. and Tyrone T.Q. Smith. He is described as a 5-foot-9 to 6-foot-2 black man, 140-200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
