Rich Central's Jourdan Redmond wins two hurdles events and leads Olympians to fourth-place finish in recent Don Richardson Classic.

Rich Central's Jourdan Redmond was one of the individual standouts in the recent Don Richardson Classic, a boys track and field meet hosted by the Olympians.

Redmond won the 110 high hurdles and the 300 intermediate hurdles events. He also placed third in the long jump and led Rich Central to a fourth-place finish in a meet won by Lincoln-Way East. The Griffins totaled 193 points.

"We did fine considering that our athletes competed in a varsity and frosh/soph invitation the previous night," Rich Central coach David Stanko said.

Marian Catholic placed seventh overall. The Spartans also had some standout performances, particularly in the relay events. In the 4x100, the Marian Catholic team (John Oliver, Brandon Woods, Matthew Simmons and Dominic Pascale) finished first with a time of 44.39.  Marian's 4x20o relay team also placed first with a time of 1:34.28.
