United States Track & Field Chairman, keynote speaker at Bloom High Dinner

The Nov. 19th Bobby Bell Awards will have track and field world noted, Steve Miller, Chairman of United States Track and Field as its keynote speaker. A board member since 2009, Steve Miller is CEO of Agassi Graf Holdings, the Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, and BILT by Agassi and Reyes. He previously served as the Executive Chairman of the Board for Power Plate International, President and CEO of the Professional Bowlers Association, Director of Global Sports Marketing for Nike, adjunct professor at the University of Oregon Warsaw School of Sports Marketing, and Director of Athletics for Kansas State University. He has more than two decades' experience as a high school and collegiate track and cross country coach, is a five-time NCAA Coach of the Year and is a member four halls of fame, including the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Bobby Bell was a lifelong resident of Chicago Heights and retired as a teacher of driver’s education, physical education and various coaching positions of boys’ sports after 30 years. His life will be immortalized in the form of an award named after him. The award will be given to faculty, staff, and persons who epitomized the virtues of Mr. Bell. The first Bobby Bell Awards nominated class will be presented to ; Wes Mason, Lynda Byrd, Ron Ray, Cathy Gliotonni, Donald Croarkin,, Fred Jacobeit, Steve Miller, Lonnell Poole and Ron Patton this November 19th. We hope that you consider attending this salute to Mr. Bell and some of the “Reasons for Bloom High School Greatness”.
