• Peoria County Sheriff boosts patrols to curb illegal off-roading (centralillinoisproud.com) — Residents near Ratliff Road northwest of Chillicothe can expect more sheriff and conservation police patrols after complaints about trespassing and unsafe UTV and four-wheeler use in a nearby creek. Officials stress that state law bans riding in the creek or on Ratliff Road, and Chillicothe’s UTV-friendly ordinance does not apply on county roads or waterways.
