• IL Senate unanimously passes plan calling for school panic alert systems to improve emergency response (wandtv.com) — A state senator from Crest Hill is helping advance a statewide plan that encourages schools to adopt mobile panic alert systems to speed up emergency responses. The unanimously approved Senate bill would have state agencies set rules for these systems, giving parents and staff more confidence that classrooms can quickly connect with first responders during crises. The measure now returns to the House after amendments.
