• South suburban teachers file OSHA complaint over dirty schools (abc7chicago.com) — Teachers in Crestwood's District 130 schools have joined colleagues in nearby towns to file an Illinois OSHA complaint, citing dirty buildings, rodents, dead animals, and unsanitary bathrooms. After custodians were laid off and a new company hired, staff say delays in bringing in workers have left conditions they call hazardous to students' health. 
• 'Play For Meg': Softball Tourney Fundraiser To Benefit Beloved Tinley Woman, 37, In Breast Cancer Fight (patch.com) — A major community softball fundraiser is coming to Ozinga Field in Crestwood this Saturday, supporting Tinley Park native and Kirby District 140 paraeducator Meg Malito in her breast cancer fight. Local fire departments will field teams, with raffles, kids' activities, and an all-inclusive food-and-drink wristband option helping raise money for Meg and several area charities.
