1 Arrest, 8 Tickets Issued During Super Bowl Enforcement
During the mobilization, which ran from Feb. 9 through Feb. 12, authorities took one person into custody for DUI.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL —The results are in from a recent Super Bowl police enforcement effort in Crystal Lake.
During the mobilization, which ran from Feb. 9 through Feb. 12, authorities took one person into custody for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Authorities also issued eight traffic citations, including three tickets for speeding and one citation for a seat belt violation.
The recent law enforcement campaign was made possible by federal highway safety funds
administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation as part of the statewide “Drive Sober
or Get Pulled Over” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.
