$1 Pancakes at IHOP, Restaurant Promotions Near Crystal Lake Will Help Support ‘No Kid Hungry’

Noodle's and Company, Denny's, and Rosati's Pizza are among restaurants offering deals. Proceeds will be donated to No Kid Hungry.

As part of a No Kid Hungry campaign, participating restaurants will be offering deals and donating proceeds to the non-profit.

No Kid Hungry, a non-profit organization aimed at ending childhood hunger, is partnering with restaurants throughout the U.S. to offer promotions and deals. Some of those are a one-day deal, including $1 pancakes on Aug. 23 at participating IHOPS, while many others will start at select dates in August and continue through September. Proceeds will be donated to the No Kid Hungry Campaign.

Here is a look at some local deals and promotions that will be happening today and in coming weeks:

  • From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 23, visitors to participating IHOPs, including the IHOP at 6606 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake, can get a short stack of pancakes for $1. One hundred percent of proceeds will benefit No Kid Hungry. The IHOP in McHenry, at 428 W. ELm St., is also offering the $1 deal on Tuesday. Check the No Kid Hungry website to find other participating IHOPs.
  • Starting on Aug. 21, donate $1 to No Kid Hungry while at Arby’s, 6000 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake, and receive a coupon for use at your next visit. The Arby’s at 320 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills and the Arby’s at 1800 N. Richmond Road in McHenry are also participating in the promotion, which is valid through Oct. 8.
  • Starting on Aug. 31, donate $2 to No Kid Hungry while at Noodle’s and Company (at locations in Lake in the Hills and Crystal Lake) and receive a free “shareable” on your next visit.
  • Starting on Aug. 31, donate $10 to No Kid Hungry while at Rosati’s Pizza, 117 N. Kennedy Drive in Carpentersville, and receive a $10 gift card for future visits. The promotion ends on Sept. 29.
  • Area Denny’s locations will provide a $1 off for your next visit when you donate $1 to No Kid Hungry. The promotion is valid Aug. 31 through Sept. 29. The local Denny’s locations offering the deal include: 200 Springhill Drive in Carpentersville, 13240 S. Illinois Route 47 in Huntley,

No Kid Hungry is aimed at ending childhood hunger by connecting kids to effective nutrition programs like school breakfast and summer meals. This work is accomplished through the No Kid Hungry network, made up of private citizens, government officials, non-profits, business leaders, and others providing innovative hunger solutions in their communities. These partners work together, implementing solutions that break down the barriers that keep kids from healthy food, according to the No Kid Hungry website.
