1 Person At Lundahl Tests Positive For Coronavirus

District 47 began teaching with a hybrid model earlier this month.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A student or staff member at Lundahl Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19. Principal Angie Compere reported the latest District 47 coronavirus case in an e-mail to families, adding that Lundahl Middle School will remain open and those who had close contact with a person who contracted COVID-19 will be advised to quarantine at home and keep an eye on their symptoms for 14 days, according to the Northwest Herald.

It's unclear if the person who tested positive for COVID-19 was a staff member or student.

District 47 has reported five total coronavirus cases in its schools since Sept. 25, according to an online dashboard that tracks the weekly case counts. The school district switched from a remote learning plan to a hybrid learning plan earlier this month.
