2 Flown To Hospitals After Separate Fall Incidents In McHenry County

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — Two people were flown to area hospitals with serious injuries following separate fall incidents on Friday, according to officials.

The first incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. in the 8900 block of Ridgefield Road in Crystal Lake, where a man suffered serious injuries after falling and was found unconscious when paramedics arrived, authorities said. The second incident was reported around 2:15 p.m. in the 400 block of East Crystal Lake Avenue in Crystal Lake, where a 65-year-old woman fell from a standing position and suffered a head injury, the Lake/McHenry County Scanner is reporting.

Both victims were transported by helicopter for emergency medical treatment, Woodstock Fire/Rescue District Public Information Officer Alex Vucha told the Lake/McHenry County Scanner.

Vucha said the circumstances surrounding both incidents remain under investigation.
