201 Tickets Issued During Holiday Detail In McHenry County
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office upped its enforcement efforts over the Memorial Day holiday.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — The results are in from a recent holiday enforcement campaign in McHenry County.
The McHenry County Sheriff's Office issued 201 citations during its recent Memorial Day "click it or ticket" details. Of those tickets, 58 were doled out for seat belt violations.
The sheriff's office also arrested three people for drunken driving, one person on a warrant and two others for drug offenses. Other citations issued included: 10 electronic communication citations, 14 suspended registration citations, three suspended or revoked license citations, 21 uninsured motorists, 55 speeding tickets and 51 other citations for various traffic offenses.

The Illinois “Click It or Ticket” campaign is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal highway safety funds.
