During an investigation, detectives learned the victim had been beaten and robbed by multiple offenders who he had randomly met at a local establishment during the evening of March 10, police said. Throughout the evening, the offenders gained the trust of the victim and at about 3:55 a.m. on March 11, the group ganged up on the male victim, repeatedly punched and kicked him and took "possession of the victim's personal property," which included cash, according to the news release.
