3 Crystal Lake Businesses Fail Tobacco Compliance Checks

The Crystal Lake Police Department recently conducted compliance checks at 28 businesses in town.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – The Crystal Lake Police Department has cited three businesses for violating local ordinance violations. The police department checked 28 businesses within the city limits during compliance checks last week. The businesses cited for selling tobacco to a person younger than 18 years old are:

  • Walmart, 1205 South Route 31
  • Circle K, 280 North Route 31
  • Circle K, 681 Terra Cotta Avenue

All three businesses were cited for violating local ordinances. Each business received a notice to appear at an adjudication hearing on April 13 at Crystal Lake City Hall, according to a news release.
