4 Arrested In ICE Operations In Lake, McHenry Counties

LAKE & MCHENRY COUNTIES, IL — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials say four people were arrested during targeted enforcement operations in Woodstock and Waukegan last week.

Community members reported federal agents arresting a driver on Railroad Street in Woodstock around 7:50 a.m. Thursday, while some of the same vehicles were later spotted near Route 47 and Route 120, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner. ICE later identified two people arrested in Woodstock as Ketty Ximena Dominguez Lopez, 38, of Ecuador, and Dagoberto Mendez Ponce, 35, of Honduras. I

In Waukegan, the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights reported that agents took a person into custody near 8th Street and Prescott Avenue around 9:01 a.m. Friday; ICE later identified two people arrested in Waukegan as Mario Guadarrama, 31, and Pedro Serrano-Hernandez, 39, both of Mexico.

It remains unclear whether the people witnessed being detained at those locations were among the four individuals ICE identified, according to the Scanner report.
