'Our Hearts' Are With All Involved: Restaurant Responds After Crash
Four people were injured, some seriously, when a car drove through a window at the Buffalo Wings and Rings in Crystal Lake.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A car crashed through a glass window at the Buffalo Wings and Rings in Crystal Lake Thursday evening, injuring four people inside. All four were taken to an area hospital with injuries that ranged from minor to serious, police said.
In a statement posted Friday on the Buffalo Wings and Rings Facebook page, the restaurant noted it is focused on ensuring all those who were involved in the "traumatic event" are getting the "care they need."
The collision happened at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday when a Nissan Altima that was heading west through a parking lot in the 1500 block of Carlemont Drive drove over a sidewalk and into the building.

The car crashed through the wall and ended up inside the restaurant. The male driver told police he was attempting to park at the time, and it's unknown why his vehicle ended up accelerating into the building.
No updates were immediately available regarding the condition of the four injured people.

Employees at the restaurant said their "hearts are with all parties involved," according to the Buffalo Wings and Rings Facebook post.
"We appreciate everyone who has reached out regarding the traumatic event that our staff and guests endured last night," according to the Buffalo Wings and Rings post. "Currently, our primary focus is to ensure that those involved are getting the care they need, then we will ensure that the restaurant is repaired and reopened so we can continue to serve the Crystal Lake community."
The driver in the incident was not injured.
On Friday, a sign was posted on the door of the restaurant, noting that the building was uninhabitable due to major damage.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The Crystal Lake Police Department is asking anyone with information related to the incident to contact them at 815-356-3620.
