5 Businesses Opening This Spring in Crystal Lake
City officials share which businesses have opened or will be opening soon in Crystal Lake.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL - Five new businesses will be opening in Crystal Lake this spring, city officials said.
Olive Tap, at 68 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake, will be the first to open and will be hosting a grand re-opening celebration from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 21. Residents can come out and sample new products, wine, and local cheese, and take advantage of special raffles and promotions, according to a news release.
Husband and wife team Brett and Kristie Rainwater have owned small businesses for over 40 years and recently opened their first Olive Tap location in Crystal Lake. The Olive Tap is described as a tasting emporium that prides itself on freshness, purity, distinctive flavors of the finest oils and vinegars from award-winning artisans.

The Olive Tap features a wide variety of gourmet olive oils, balsamic vinegars and other artisan products sourced from premium producers from across the globe. Customers can sample oils and vinegars from large stainless steel urns. The Olive Tap still has many of the same great products previously offered including soaps and lotions along with hundreds of new items that have been added including wines, olives, crackers, locally sourced cheeses, meats and tapenades, according to the news release.
City officials also said Bucky's Gas Station is planning to open by the end of April. The 10,000-square-foot convenience store and gas station will be located at Pyott and Rakow roads.

By the first week in May, the M Supper Club will be open its doors at 394 W. Virginia Street, adding another fine dining establishment to the area, according to the news release.
Other businesses opening later this spring include Matt’s Express Car Wash, which will be located in front of Wal-Mart on Route 31, and Breaking Bread, a gourmet sandwich shop, will open in the Country Corners Shopping Center at 250 W. Virginia St.
