UPDATE: Woodstock Police Search for Man Possibly Armed With Gun; Schools Placed on Lockdown

Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 has placed all of its buildings on lockdown. The Woodstock Police Department requested the school district place its schools on lockdown as a safety precaution, according to a District 200 Facebook post.

The Northwest Herald is reporting Woodstock police are searching for a burglary suspect who could be armed with a gun. The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build and dreadlocks, according to the Woodstock Independent.

The residential burglary occurred in the area of Lawndale Avenue, according to the Woodstock Independent.
