Early voting hours vary by location, and not all sites will remain open through the end of the early voting period.

The Algonquin Area Public Library, Cary Park District, Dunham Township Office, Huntley Park District and Marengo City Hall locations will offer early voting through Saturday, Oct. 31.

The remaining locations will continue offering early voting through Monday, Nov. 2.

Voters should check the McHenry County Clerk's website for specific hours before heading to a polling location.

Important Election Deadlines

The Nov. 3 election will include races for Illinois governor, U.S. Senate, Congress, statewide constitutional offices, the Illinois General Assembly and county offices, along with local ballot questions.

The deadline to register to vote online is Sunday. Illinois residents who miss that deadline can still register and vote in person during the grace-period registration period at designated voting locations.

Voters registering in person should bring two forms of identification, including at least one showing their current address. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is Thursday, Oct. 29, although election officials encourage voters to apply earlier to allow sufficient time for delivery and return.

Early voting ends Monday, Nov. 2, and Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, when polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For more information about early voting, registration and mail-in ballots, visit the McHenry County Clerk's election website.
