Armed Robber Holds Up Cary Gas Station: Authorities
A man entered the Marathon gas station at 8 E. Main Street, displayed a small black handgun and demanded cash before fleeing, police said.
CARY, IL — The Cary Police Department is looking for a man accused of holding up a gas station in Cary Wednesday night.
Authorities say a man entered the Marathon gas station at 8 E. Main Street at about 9:30 p.m., displayed a small black handgun and demanded cash. The man was wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and a mask covering his face.
He then fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. No shots were fired during the incident, and no one was injured.

The Cary Police Department is actively investigating the armed robbery and asks any businesses or private residences in the area with video surveillance systems to review their video footage between 9:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. in an attempt to identify the offender.
