Authorities Search Lake For Missing Fox Lake Man
Authorities are continuing to search for David M. Gilenna, who has been missing since May, police said Thursday.

FOX LAKE, IL — Authorities in Fox Lake are continuing to search for a 57-year-old man who has been missing since May 8. David M. Gilenna, of the 0 to 100 block of Jamaica Colony in Fox Lake, was reported missing after his family was unable to make contact with him for over a week, according to a news release from the Fox Lake Police Department.
This past week, as a precaution, the Fox Lake Police Department requested fire personnel to search the Dunns Lake water inlet for Gilenna. Authorities wanted to make sure he did not fall into the water in that area at some point, according to a news release. Fire personnel used sonar equipment to search the inlet but did not find Gilenna, police said.
Gilenna remained missing as of Thursday afternoon, Fox Lake Police Department Commander Dawn Deservi told Patch in an email.
