Beer, Wine Soon to be Served at Starbucks in Crystal Lake

The new Starbucks Evenings menu is being rolled out at locations across the nation.

The two Starbucks locations in Crystal Lake will soon be able to serve beer and wine following a vote by the Crystal Lake City Council to approve liquor sales at the coffee shops, the Northwest Herald reports.

Pending background checks, the Starbucks on Route 14 and the one in downtown Crystal Lake will be able to begin alcohol service, according to the article. The Algonquin Starbucks recently got the OK to serve beer and wine.

The new Starbucks Evenings concept is being rolled out at locations across the country. Along with beer and wine, Starbucks will offer small plates, such as creamy Truffle Mac & Cheese or a flatbread.
