Bike With Your Neighbor Scavenger Hunt Rolls Out Sunday

Get on your bike and see what you can discover.

The Crystal Lake Clean Air Counts Committee and the Crystal Lake Park District are hosting the Bike with Your Neighbor- Bicycle Scavenger Hunt from 1 to 4 p .m. Sunday, June 24.

The purpose of this fun ride is to encourage the city and its residents to become bicycle-friendly, according to the Clean Air Counts Committee.

The event is perfect for all ages, and gets rolling from the Main Beach, 300 Lake Shore Dr., Crystal Lake. Participants can register at noon.

Cyclists will follow clues that will take them to some familiar places in Crystal Lake. A few clues may even take them to some undiscovered spots. As part of the ride, participants will travel over a variety of the city's trails and paths. Bikers can ride solo or ride as a team.

All participants should wear helmets, and bring plenty of water.

The Clean Air Counts Committee also will share information about the new bike-friendly amenities the city has to offer. Food will be available for purchase plus there’ll be entertainment and prizes at the end of the ride.
