Boy, 4, Dies After Being Pulled From Pool In McHenry County
The boy died at Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge after being pulled unresponsive from the pool near Richmond Saturday.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 4-year-old boy who was pulled from a pool near Richmond over the weekend has died.
The Richmond Township Fire Protection District and McHenry County Sheriff's Office were called to the 10000 block of Keystone Road in unincorporated Richmond at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday for a report of a drowning, according to a Lake/McHenry Scanner report. Richmond Township Fire Protection District Fire Marshal Scott Peterson said the boy was out of the water by the time paramedics arrived, and bystanders and paramedics performed CPR on the boy.
The boy was first taken by ambulance to Northwestern McHenry Hospital, Peterson told Shaw Local News Network. He was then airlifted to Advocate Children's Hospital in Park Ridge.

The boy, who has been identified as Grayson Vingan, 4, of Johnsburg, died on Monday afternoon at Advocate Children's Hospital, according to a Cook County Medical Examiner's Office report.
The cause of his death remains under investigation.
