Boy, 4, Killed In Kane County Crash
The collision happened Sunday evening on Keslinger Road and West County Line Road in unincorporated Kaneville Township.

KANE COUNTY, IL — A 4-year-old boy was killed in a collision Sunday evening in Maple Park.
The collision happened at about 5:05 p.m. when a red 2017 Chevy Trax headed west on Keslinger Road failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection of West County Line Road in unincorporated Kaneville Township, authorities said.
The Chevy hit a white Toyota Rav 4, which was headed north on West County Line Road at the time of the collision.

The driver of the Chevy, a 34-year-old woman, and a front seat passenger in her vehicle, a 10-year-old, were taken to Delver Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
A back seat passenger, Logan Ortiz, 4, of Cortland, sustained life-threatening injuries and was first taken to Delnor and then transported to Loyola Hospital where he died from his injuries, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.

The driver of the Toyota, a 17-year-old girl from St. Charles, was treated and released at the scene.
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Maple Park Police Department and the Kane County Office of Emergency Management.
