Burglar Who Took Jewelry, Guns From Home Arrested: Police
The 30-year-old McHenry man was taken into custody earlier in the week in connection with a burglary last month at a McHenry County home.

MCHENRY, IL -- A 30-year-old McHenry man faces felony charges for breaking into a McHenry County last month and stealing jewelry, coins, guns and cash, authorities said Thursday. John Neveitt was arrested earlier in the week and is charged with residential burglary, theft and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. He is accused of burglarizing a home in the 4700 block of Howard Street in Johnsburg on March 15.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division launched an investigation into the burglary, which lead to an arrest warrant being issued against Neveitt, authorities said.
On April 9, the McHenry County Apprehension Unit, along with members of the U.S. Marshalls Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, took Neveitt into custody, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office news release.

Neveitt is charged with residential burglary, a class 1 felony; theft, a class 1 felony and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, a class 3 felony. His bond has been set at $100,000.

Neveitt is next expected in court on April 12.
