Local editor Quincy Hodges sat down with Kristi Butkus, who's the owner and founder of Cleaning Solutions.

No, she's not your typical lady cleaning lady and Cleaning Solutions isn't your everyday cleaning service. Butkus goal is to help people live cleaner and healthier lives. 

What is Cleaning Solutions?

I offer very unique type of services to the real estate market and the community as a whole. Cleaning solutions has over 25 years of cleaning, teaching and consulting experience, with the goal of helping people live a cleaner and healthier lifestyle at the office, in the home and among their communities.

Cleaning Classes for adults?

Butkus launched the first educational cleaning program at the Cary Park District in 2007. She started with five classes but now offers 10 classes. Classes are geared towards adults and children. Some classes include Real Estate Clean, Basic Clean, Solutions and Supplies, Deep Clean and Greener lifestyle.

Cleaning Classes for youth?

Cleaning solutions offers two programs for kids, Clean Kids for pre-k age 3-5 and grades 1 though 6. This classes teaches younger children about the importance of health hygiene and importance of washing hands in a elementary school environment.  

The second program is for for junior high and high school students, which is divided between Clean Tweens (Junior high) and Clean Teens (Senior High). This classes teaches students about cleaning up their dirty habits, learn about cleaning and living healthier lifestyles.

Cleaning Services?

Cleaning solutions will assist the home owner and real estate agent with a variety of services to make your property more marketable and appealing to to get it sold.

Property assessment: Will come out and do a visual inspection, top to bottom, room by room and the exterior of the home as well.

Vacant property maintenance: Provides cleaning at home location for post moves due to selling, renting, eviction and foreclosure.

Co-cleaning Consultation: Provide homeowners guidance and direction while actually cleaning the home themselves with Butkus of Cleaning Solutions.

"The fact that people just come up to me, whether it's after a consultation or at the end of a class and say thank you for what you do, that in itself is rewarding enough to keep me going," Butkus said.  

Kristi Butkus can be scheduled as a guest speaker at your business, charity, club, school, government entity, camps, colleges, libraries and churches.
