Sparrow's Nest Thrift Store and Donation Center

Our store's purpose is to support Home of the Sparrow's mission: To reduce the prevalence of homelessness among women, children, families, and individuals through creative strategies and community partnerships that result in lasting self-sufficiency. Home of the Sparrow is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides housing and services to homeless women and children in McHenry County and Northern Illinois. 100% of the net proceeds from the store directly supports the clients in Home of the Sparrow programs. The Sparrow's Nest is also a zero cost provider of clothing, furniture and housewares to H.O.S. clients and clients of other agencies in Northern Illinois.

With an exception to mattresses and box springs, everything sold in the Nest stores is donated! **Donations are accepted at all stores during regular store hours.**

We have new and gently used furniture, housewares, small appliances, home decorations and linens. Looking for a new outfit? We have Men's, Women's and Children's clothing, shoes and accessories. We also carry Music, Movies and Books in our entertainment section. Our inventory changes daily so stop in often! All sales are based on inventory and may not be the same as our other locations in Arlington Heights, Cary, McHenry, Mundelein, Palatine and Third Lake so if you're out and about, check them out too!

Your purchases, donations and time volunteered at our store provide Hope, Opportunity and Support that empowers women, children, families, and individuals who are experiencing homelessness as they journey to self -sufficiency.
