Amateur Radio Field Day

Please join us for the 415 Amateur Radio Club 2026 Field Day between Saturday, June 27th at 1pm and Sunday, June 28th at 1pm at 3208 Bay Road in Crystal Lake, IL. All are welcome, and admission is free! The purpose of ARRL Field Day is to practice emergency communication skills, promote amateur radio to the public, and have fun making contacts with other stations across North America. It's a nationwide event where hams set up temporary stations—often outdoors—and operate under simulated emergency conditions to test their readiness and equipment. We will have multiple stations on the air, including a GOTA station. A GOTA (Get On The Air) station is a special part of Field Day designed to let newcomers and inactive hams get on the radio with the guidance of an experienced operator. Whether you're licensed or not, you can sit down, talk on the air, and experience the excitement of ham radio in a fun, supervised setting.
