Car Crashes Through Jimmy John's In Woodstock

No one was injured during the collision Monday afternoon in Woodstock.

WOODSTOCK, IL — No one was injured when a car crashed through a Jimmy John's in Woodstock Monday afternoon, authorities said.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the business at 361 S. Eastwood Drive in Woodstock at about 4 p.m. and found a vehicle that had driven through the front of the restaurant, according to a news release from the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District.

The collision caused significant damage to the storefront and interior of the restaurant but no one inside the restaurant was injured, according to the news release. The driver, an elderly woman, was evaluated by paramedics but did not request any further medical attention.

Representatives from both the McHenry County Department of Health and city of Woodstock Building and Zoning department responded to the scene as well.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the Woodstock Fire Department.
