Cary Cruise Night Cancelled Due To Heat

The downtown Cary event will be cancelled Wednesday due to an excessive heat warning.

CARY, IL — Cary Cruise Nights has been cancelled Wednesday due to the excessive heat.

"The safety and well-being of our participants, attendees, and community members remain our top priority, and given the extreme weather conditions forecasted, we believe it is in the best interest of everyone to cancel the event," according to a post on the Cary Cruise Nights Facebook page. "While we understand the disappointment this news may bring, we are committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all who attend our events. We encourage you to stay hydrated, stay indoors, and take all necessary precautions during this period of heightened temperatures."

This week's theme was 50s-70s Night.

The final cruise night of the summer will be held on Aug. 30 and will feature a Winner's Circle closing event as well as judging for 50s-70s Night and Mustang and Cobra Night. Mustang and Cobra Night, which was supposed to happen in July, was cancelled due to severe storms.
